CHAMAH FAMILY CLUB
educational activities in Moscow Jewish community for vulnerable children.
The project is aimed to support vulnerable families and disabled children and to provide children with different educational activities during the school year.
CHAMAH Family Club started to work in 2008 with the support of CHAMAH and the JOINT organization. 64 children were involved in this project. Every Sunday they came to CHAMAH Centre to study and play together. They had Jewish studies lessons, Lessons on Jewish History, Arts and Crafts, Art-Therapy lessons, individual lessons with psychologists, etc. Also there were lessons for their parents. 7 volunteers are actively working with children and their parents.
Nowadays we have the demands from another 50 families, whose children have the domestic education or can’t go to Jewish schools. They want their children to know more about Israel, Jewish traditions, Hebrew. We are planning to find additional funding to enlarge the educational activities for these children.

TZEDAKA
GAN CHAMAH performs much charitable work. Our kids know that charity, TZEDAKA, is one a column on which our world stands. GAN CHAMAH children often visit the elderly at the Hesed Chamah Jewish Welfare Center where they conduct performances and help care for the elderly o their community.

Every Jewish holiday has its own ideas, its own uniqueness and character.
At GAN CHAMAH, we also have special traditions when celebrating Jewish holidays.
We have kept these traditions over many years.
